First off, eBenefits is an online portal that lets Veterans access and manage their VA records for many benefits and provides a list of links to other sites that offer information about veteran-related benefits. However, you may already know that, and now you’re wondering what an eBenefits premium account is.

What Is A eBenefits Premium Account?

With an eBenefits premium account, veterans are given the highest level of access to their benefits. In addition, veterans will also have access to their personal information with privacy and security.

It is essential to note that the only difference between “Basic” and “Premium” eBenefits accounts is the level of access. Acquiring a premium account does not require payment.

What Veterans Can Do With An eBenefits Premium Account

  • Apply for VA benefits
  • Check the status of claims
  • Upload documents to support claims
  • Job search
  • View Tricare insurance
  • Order prescriptions
  • Message doctors about concerns
  • Download medical history and test results
  • Military skills translator and build resume
  • Order medical equipment
  • Check the status of appeals
  • VA home loan certificate of eligibility
  • Obtain official military personnel documents such as DD Form 214

Veterans Should Have A “Premium” Account

In order to entirely benefit from the portal, Veterans should take that extra step to get a “Premium” account. This is a portal for your disability claims information.

In addition, you can apply for education benefits, manage your health care, and request new Veteran ID cards. Since the VA is a bureaucracy, having a site like eBenefits saves you a lot of time and trouble, especially when it comes to getting them on the phone.
