Mothers hardly ever get the credit they deserve for all that they do. From carrying us for nine months to spending every waking moment watching over us, making sure we’re well taken care of and safe (yes, even after we’re all grown up). But for some mothers making sure we’re safe is out of their control because their children have chosen to join the military. We want all military moms to know we see you, we appreciate you, and we love you.

In this article, we’ll tell you why you are the best.

They Embrace Military Life

For some mothers, joining the military isn’t at the top of their list as careers for their children. Of course, they might be a little disappointed their kid isn’t going to be a millionaire — But even then, they still support your decision and embrace the military lifestyle.

They Miss You The Entire Time You’re Gone

It’ll be hard for them to see you go, especially when you’re gone for months on end. We know deployments are always a rough time for everyone. Sometimes while we’re gone, friends and even significant others we once thought we knew and loved will soon slowly fade away. But military moms? They’ll always be there. You can guarantee they’ll never stop worrying and thinking about their babies.

They Go Months Without Knowing If You’re Okay

We all know how communication blackouts can happen out of nowhere and without notice. Sometimes we even tend to use the few phone calls we get back home to call our significant others instead of letting our moms know that we’re okay (sorry, mom).

Their Care Package Are Everything!

Care packages are something every troop looks forward to. Yes, we appreciate all of the care packages sent from churches, schools, and other organizations. But we can always count on mom to send the best ones!

Typically, mothers will look all over the internet and research the best things to put in care packages. Of course, they’ll make our favorite homemade cookies, send us some of our favorite photos and other stuff they know we’ll cherish during our deployment. After all, mom knows best!
